  • What are the most common types of finishes used?
When designing and installing a hardwood floor for your home or business, one of the last choices you’ll make is the finish for your new surface. A finish is a liquid substance applied to the wood that forms a hard coating to protect the floor from scratches, scuffs, spills, and water damage. It is important for homeowners to choose the right finish because it can help maintain the beauty of your surface and add years to the life of your floor. There are three most popular types of finishes used for hardwood flooring today: ◦ Water-based polyurethane ◦ Oil finishes ◦ Wax finishes Out of the above-mentioned common types of finishes, we recommend the water-based polyurethane which delivers a clear finish and has the traditional hardwood look and feel. Water-based polyurethane offers the following advantages over the latter two finish types for the following reasons: ◦ More eco-friendly ◦ Faster drying time ◦ Clear finish ◦ Highly durable

  • Can we install hardwood flooring in the basement?
Solid hardwood expands and contracts depending on level of fluctuations in moisture and temperature, which is why solid wood floors are only recommended for rooms from ground to above levels. On the other hand, engineered wood can be installed on any level, including below ground level given the unique structure and design. With that in mind, we recommend engineered flooring that is less likely to buckle, gap, or respond to changes in humidity and temperature. This makes engineered flooring a great choice for finished basements and bathrooms.
  • Do you offer any guarantees/warranties for your work?
Our appreciation and commitment to customers is unparalleled, which is why we are fully licensed, insured, and offer a one-year labor warranty. We'll even match the prices of our competitors and provide a discount in the amount of $150 when you spend $1,000 with us. Call today and mention this offer to get started!
  • What should I expect from the consultation process?
We start off by giving you a free in-home estimate where we will measure the square footage in your home and talk to you about what you would like to have done to your staircase and/or floor (installation, re-finishing, repair, etc.). Then we will send you an email within 24 hours containing the estimate with the price to complete the job. If you decide it's a go, simply contact us and we will set up a date to start. We try to keep the process as simple as possible for our customers. Call us today at (404) 838-6220 for a FREE estimate!

We are family-owned and 100% licensed and insured. We offer free in-home estimates and unmatched service. Contact us today to turn your house into a new home!
  • What should I do to prepare for my service appointment?
Wood floor installations typically take 2-3 days depending upon the size and scope of the project, the type of stain used and temperature/weather conditions. See below for some helpful tips to prepare for your service appointment: Remove any furniture from the area where we will be working Ensure all pets and family members are off premises We will put up plastic sheets to protect any personal property from dust and dirt Remove carpet prior to installation/refinishing unless you request that we perform the carpet removal as part of the service agreement. We suggest that you vacate your house for one day for pre-finished flooring or 3-4 days if we are installing/refinishing on site.
